Everything below is modeled output — rendered by Plenty of Reeds itself, modal synthesis, not sampled. These are neutral, original test tones and sweeps; there are no song covers. Each A/B toggle compares two modeled renders against each other (e.g. a soft vs a hard velocity layer), not the plugin against a real instrument.

Velocity layers — A4

One sustained A4 (440 Hz) struck at three velocities. The modal velocity→timbre law (kVelTilt in dsp/Reed.h) keeps soft hits clean and lets hard hits bark. Toggle A/B to hear the same note grow brighter with force.

Voicing demos

Short, original phrases — no copyrighted material. The soft and bark renders are the same part played at the two ends of the dynamic range.
